BEGINNERS TENNIS SCHOOL

Are you one of those parents who believes in building your child’s self-esteem and healthy habits?

Tennis offers countless benefits for young children—not only physical, but also psychological and social. Through play, children gradually develop their character and personality, learning the value of effort, resilience, and managing personal relationships with teammates, opponents, and coaches with respect, empathy, and emotional control.

ANNUAL BEGINNERS SCHOOL

The Beginners Tennis School is designed for young players who are just beginning to learn the basics of tennis. Thanks to the mild climate of the Maresme region, it’s an ideal after-school activity for children.
At this stage, the focus is on developing basic stroke techniques so that young players can gradually internalize and master them. Fun is a key component in these early learning stages, so training sessions are filled with a variety of playful sports activities.
These are group classes with special attention given to motor skills. Boys and girls learn in a fun, engaging way that encourages them to develop a love for tennis.
Schedule:
Tuesdays and/or Thursdays: 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturdays: 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

WEEKEND BEGINNERS SCHOOL

The Weekend Beginners Tennis School is held on Saturday mornings, with training sessions primarily organized by the age of young players.
Private lessons are also available on demand, allowing players to work on stroke techniques individually and focus on their specific goals.
The Weekend Tennis School is an ideal option for:

  • Those who can’t attend during the week but want to enjoy this outdoor sport over the weekend
  • Players who wish to continue learning and enjoying their favorite sport with an extra day of practice

Or private lessons by appointment (subject to availability).

WHAT AGE CAN YOU START PLAYING TENNIS?

This is a very common question! Exercise is essential, and the sooner we help young children establish a healthy sports routine, the better. However, the ideal starting age can vary depending on each child’s skills, coordination, and abilities.

Starting around age 3 or 4, children may have the basic motor skills needed to begin learning tennis. For several years now, brands have been making child-sized racquets suitable for their height, which help young players enjoy themselves while hitting the ball cleanly and safely. Fun is a key component at this age, and it’s important to ensure children enjoy the activity with their peers.

Tennis is a highly comprehensive sport, helping children develop both physically and mentally. It contributes to building their personality and cognitive abilities. Since tennis is also a very mental game, young players learn early to think, make decisions, and, as they grow, to interpret matches and analyze their opponents. In short, they begin to develop their emotional intelligence.

At these early ages, the MBA Tennis Academy’s Beginners Programs are designed to encourage basic stroke techniques, allowing young players to internalize and gradually master them. Through mini-tennis sessions and dynamic games, they learn to coordinate their movements, judge distances, and build confidence from the very beginning.

¿A QUÉ EDAD SE PUEDE EMPEZAR A JUGAR A TENIS? </span
